Inverter (VSD) Screw Air Compressors
Inverter (VSD) Screw Air Compressor
Variable speed screw compressors that match the drive motor speed to actual air demand. 22–315 kW, discharge pressure 7, 9 or 12 bar. Reduced unloaded running cuts energy costs by up to 30% or more.
The best choice for energy savings: variable speed screw compressors
A variable speed (VSD) screw compressor varies the speed of the drive motor to match the plant's actual compressed air demand, producing only the air that is needed. This prevents unloaded running and maintains a constant discharge pressure, making energy cost savings of 30% or more possible.
The output range is 22–315 kW (30–400 HP), with discharge pressures of 7 · 9 · 12bar, selected to suit your site conditions.

Key features
Inverter controller that responds to demand in real time
The controller detects fluctuations in air demand on the load side in real time and runs the compressor to produce exactly the air required. By eliminating the power losses that occur during unloaded running, this dedicated inverter compressor controller maximizes electricity cost savings.

1:1 direct drive (motor coupled directly to the airend)
The motor is coupled directly to the airend at a 1:1 ratio, which eliminates the transmission losses inherent in gear-driven designs. The result is maximum energy savings with minimum maintenance cost.

High-efficiency inverter
A CE- and UL-certified high-efficiency inverter is fitted as standard. The inverter cabinet is separated from the moving parts, protected from dust and debris, and has its own cooling fan, so it operates reliably even in the hot environment of a running compressor.

Optimal rpm control for lower power consumption
Minimum power control — motor rpm follows air consumption, and when consumption falls below 30% the compressor switches to unloaded running to cut power consumption further.
Optimal air delivery control — the maximum motor rpm is adjusted automatically for each operating pressure range to achieve maximum delivery.

Graphic LCD controller
Operating status is shown clearly on a graphic display whose brightness adjusts automatically to ambient temperature, so it stays legible even in dark rooms. Set the operating pressure and all other parameters change automatically to their optimal values; the controller calculates the maximum motor rpm and runs the compressor for maximum energy savings and maximum delivery.

Remote monitoring
Compressor operation can be monitored remotely over a dedicated communication line or LAN, and start/stop control and management are possible from anywhere via the internet.
