SR Series Direct Cooling Refrigerated Air Dryer
Removes moisture by cooling the compressed air directly as the refrigerant evaporates. Small units use a stainless steel plate heat exchanger with an integrated reheater and evaporator; large units use a stainless steel shell-and-tube design. Energy-saving options include stepless capacity control, EEV and a flooded evaporator.
Cooled directly by refrigerant: the SR series
The SR series is a direct-expansion dryer that follows the refrigeration cycle to remove moisture from compressed air as the refrigerant evaporates
(compressor → condenser → expansion valve → evaporator). With a built-in refrigeration unit it is capable of standalone operation without any chilled water infrastructure.

Energy-saving options
① Stepless capacity control refrigeration compressor
A stepless control type (infinite capacity control screw) applied to large units (10,000 Nm³/h and above). In the low-load range, slide valve control (30–100%) reduces refrigerant circulation and cuts power consumption.

② Condenser — PCM and low-temperature condensate utilization (GENEQ patent)
The cooling water side of the refrigerated dryer condenser uses PCM (phase change material) storage and low-temperature condensate (4–10 °C).
Lowering the refrigerant condensing pressure reduces the power consumption of the refrigeration unit.
③ Expansion device — electronic expansion valve (EEV) (GENEQ patent)
An electronic expansion valve that measures refrigerant pressure and temperature to control the refrigerant supply in real time.
It prevents overcooling under load fluctuations and lowers the condensing pressure, increasing refrigeration capacity.

④ Evaporator — flooded evaporator
Liquid refrigerant fills the shell side while compressed air flows through the tubes.
A dry evaporator (refrigerant in the tubes, compressed air on the shell side) needs baffles, which increase the pressure drop, whereas
the flooded type gives greater heat transfer and refrigeration effect and a lower refrigerant discharge temperature, reducing power consumption.
