Turbofan Engine Test Facility
TurboFan Engine Test Equipment, T-50
A turnkey test facility project in which GENEQ handled the entire process for turbofan engine performance testing: design, fabrication, installation and documentation.
Turbofan engine run-up equipment
A facility for testing fighter engines is far more than a single machine. The fuel, hydraulic, electrical and instrumentation systems must work as one, and the facility must also meet the operating conditions and language requirements of each customer nation. When design, fabrication, installation, commissioning and documentation are split among different contractors, responsibility blurs and quality suffers.
GENEQ delivers turbofan engine test facilities with one company accountable for the whole process. As in the facility delivered to the Indonesian Air Force, we provide calibration and operating manuals in English as well as Korean, building a documentation system that matches the customer's language environment.
Five units designed and built by GENEQ

The F404 field run-up equipment built by GENEQ is a mobile system in which five units operate together as one.
FUEL TANK TRAILER: stainless steel fuel tank, a pulsation-free fuel pump with ample delivery, replaceable filters, and all valves and piping, designed and built to supply test fuel reliably
CONTROL CAB: control room with power distribution, heating and air conditioning for operator comfort, and a control desk for acquiring and monitoring test data
THRUST TRAILER: integrated frame and instrumentation system for precise measurement of engine thrust
FUEL PACKAGE: hot preservation system to protect the engine
Other elements: ancillary equipment supporting operation, including CCTV and grounding terminal boxes
The entire facility is built as one integrated system, including protection for the engine during power failures and abnormal conditions.

Operator training and manuals

Systematic operating and maintenance documentation and support serve not only day-to-day operation but also long-term maintenance.
Operating manual: equipment overview and specifications, setup and run-up procedures, and controls
Maintenance and calibration manual: daily and periodic inspections, component-level maintenance, pump lubrication, power/signal/control troubleshooting, and operator calibration
Scheduled contract maintenance (paid service): systematic operational management that extends equipment life and improves reliability
The engine test facility specialist
Through the F404 engine test facility project, GENEQ has proven its ability to carry out the entire process in-house, from planning and design through fabrication, installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance and documentation. We will continue to provide a one-stop response to the test facility needs of defense and aerospace customers in Korea and abroad.
