CO₂ Removal Systems
Gas Dryer — CO₂ Removal & N₂ Adsorption
Custom-designed and built CO₂ removal dryers that remove both moisture and carbon dioxide from compressed air, and desiccant dryers for nitrogen gas. Used in processes sensitive to CO₂ and moisture, such as battery cathode material production.
Some processes need more than moisture removal
A standard air dryer removes moisture from compressed air. But lines that must also control carbon dioxide (CO₂), such as battery cathode material processes, or processes that need to dry nitrogen (N₂) gas itself, call for dedicated equipment.
GENEQ custom-designs and builds for this field, where no standard product exists. The adsorption tower configuration and regeneration method are designed to the required purity, flow rate and process conditions.
Product range
Type | Description | Typical applications |
|---|---|---|
CO₂ removal | Removes moisture and carbon dioxide together from compressed air. Adsorbent combination and regeneration process designed for CO₂ removal | Battery cathode materials, CO₂-sensitive chemical and precision processes |
Nitrogen (N₂) | Dries nitrogen gas by adsorption. Regeneration and sealing designed for the properties of the gas | Inert gas supply lines, processes requiring oxidation prevention |

Our technology
GENEQ holds a patent for a closed-loop (non-purge) adsorption device for removing moisture and carbon dioxide using dry regeneration air.
The closed-loop design recirculates the regeneration air instead of discarding it, limiting compressed air losses even in CO₂ removal processes.
Adsorption tower and adsorbent design matched to the required purity and flow rate
Closed-loop regeneration minimizes compressed air losses
Available as a complete package including air receiver tank and filter set
PLC control and interface to a supervisory control room (optional)

Delivery record
For a major battery materials plant in Korea we have built and installed multiple sets of CO₂ removal desiccant dryers with air receiver tanks and filter sets.
Gas dryers are not standard products, so each unit is designed individually after the process conditions have been confirmed.
